WANEE MUSIC FESTIVAL

Second Harvest

The Wanee Music Festival was a great success for Conscious Alliance this year!  Thank you so much to all of the amazing concertgoers for all of the generous contributions. We collected 5,061 pounds of food.  At the end of the festival all of our donations were distributed to a Florida Gateway Food Bank, which will provide thousands meals for families in need.

Wanee Food Drive

The music was non-stop from April 18th-20th at The Spirit of the Sunwannee Music Park in Live Oak, Florida.  Multiple artists such as The Allman Brothers Band, Widespread Panic, Gov’t Mule, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Tedeschi Trucks, and Jaimoe’s Jasssz Band played to an estimated crowd of about 15,000 people.

Our Conscious Alliance team member, BJ Cochran, and volunteers from around the Florida area,  ran the Conscious Alliance Food Drive and booth at the event.  Festival attendees continuously came through to donate food, check out our merchandise and learned about our hunger relief efforts and youth empowerment programs. We hope everyone continues to spread the word about our efforts and mission!

Allie Pristas, also known by her artist name, Azura, created a one-of-a-kind poster for the event.  Azura donated her time and talent to Conscious Alliance and her poster was a huge hit! Thanks to Azura for creating this amazing poster and for her support. Wanee 2013
