Marisa Aragon Ware
Up until recently, Marisa Aragón Ware was a self-taught artist, designer and illustrator. Having never taken an art class, she gleaned her precise technical style from copying scientific illustrations, Disney characters, and Dr. Suess drawings as a child. Her sharp graphic imagery is inspired by the Art Nouveau, Visionary Art and Pop Surrealism movements.
In the fall of 2011 she decided it was time for some official training and began a Master’s degree in Illustration at the Academy of Art in San Francisco, where she lives now.
Marisa is also a freelance journalist, having written for many publications including Hi-Fructose Magazine, Juxtapoz, and Climbing Magazine. She is an avid rock climber, plant enthusiast, and a classically trained violinist. www.marisaware.com
