Rothbury and non-profit organization Conscious Alliance are proud to announce the 2nd Annual ROTHBURY Food Drive benefitting Michigan food pantries including the Shiloh Tabernacle Grocery Relief Program, Word of Life PPHC Food Distribution Center of Oceana County, and others. Last year’s ROTHBURY Food Drive brought in over 56,000 pounds of food, including 40,000 donated by Whole Foods Market. That’s 16,000 pounds donated by the ROTHBURY community directly! 100% of those donations were distributed to local area communities.
The first 2,000 patrons who donate 10 non-perishable food items will receive a FREE, limited-edition ROTHBURY poster created by renowned rock artist, Michael Everett (www.Meverett.net).
Like last year, there will be a 3-D lenticular hologram version of the ROTHBURY poster available to all patrons who donate 20 food items!! The ROTHBURY ‘08 hologram poster created by artist Jeff Wood of Drowning Creek Studios (www.DrowningCreek.com), won the 8th Annual Independent Music Award for “Best Poster”; so be sure you don’t miss out what could be 2009’s Rock Art Poster of the Year”!
With America’s food banks experiencing an all-time inventory low, there has never been a better time to participate in the ROTHBURY Food Drive. With your help, 2009 will mark our most successful food drive to date.
Food Drive collection tents will be located at the main entrance to ROTHBURY,
as well as in the Epicenter Bazaar. At these locations, which will be depicted
on the ROTHBURY guide map given to all attendees upon arriving at the festival,
Food Drive volunteers will trade participants “poster redemption
vouchers” for food donations. The vouchers can be exchanged for the free poster
at the Conscious Alliance “Art That Feeds” Galleries anytime throughout the weekend.
The Conscious Alliance always encourages food donations
to be low-sodium and health oriented products. “Organic”
food donations are especially encouraged. RAMEN
NOODLES will NOT be accepted for the free poster.
