The Bonnaroo Music
Festival and non-profit organization, Conscious Alliance,
are proud to announce the 6th Annual Bonnaroo Food Drive
benefitting the Good Samaritan Food Pantry, of Manchester,
TN. Last year's food drive brought in 7,000 pounds of food
donations for the hungry in Coffee County and this year
we expect no less then 10,000 pounds.
The first 2,000 patrons that donate 10 non-perishable food
items will receive a FREE, limited- edition Bonnaroo poster,
created by renowned rock artist, Michael Everett (www.Meverett.net)!!!
Recent economic conditions in the U.S. have left our food
pantries at an all time low and according to artist Michael
Everett, left his inspiration to "Craft a unique piece
of rock art history" at an all time high. With your help
and the first-ever Everett Bonnaroo poster, 2009 will mark
our most successful food drive to date. Please make sure
to take advantage of this rare opportunity while supplies
last.
Food Drive collection tents will be located outside of the main entrances to
the concert areas and will be depicted on the Bonnaroo guide map, given to all
attendees upon arriving at the festival grounds.
At these locations, food drive volunteers will trade participants poster redemption
vouchers for food donations. The vouchers can be exchanged for the FREE Bonnaroo
poster at the Conscious Alliance "Art That Feeds" gallery, inside of Planet
Roo, anytime throughout the weekend.
The Conscious Alliance always encourages food donations
to be low-sodium and health oriented products. “Organic”
food donations are especially encouraged. RAMEN
NOODLES will NOT be accepted for the free poster.
Thank you for your continued support in feeding the hungry
everywhere the music plays!
